The Baddest Word You'll Never Know

UAAP Blues

After my first Live UAAP Game last August 22 [DLSU vs. ADMU @ Araneta w/ Arjay & StephL], I dunno, I’ve been wanting to watch more.

This unnatural basketball game craving was satisfied when JB invited me to watch the UP-NU game. How could I resist? The UP Maroons are my second favorite team, after the DLSU Green Archers. But take note, though, that even if [as Lebs put it] “my heart is with the Archers at UAAP, in reality, I would rather go study college at UP.”

Too true… Too true…

Anyway, back to my story…

As I was saying, I went to ULTRA/PHILSPORTS ARENA with JB last Thursday to watch the UP-NU game. We were both neophtyes in the taxi-cab scene, as we both found out that neither of us had experienced riding taxis two times in one day, all by oursleves. But at least we learned anyway. =) Anyway, when we arrived at Ultra, those shameless scalpers started swarming around us, offering their ridiculous bargain seats. We had no choice but to buy P200 Court Side Tickets. We were running late for the game. We arrived during the second quarter, with the Marrons happily kicking some Bulldog asses. We sat in the patron area, and later on, Joseph Yeo arrived near the end of the game, just four seats away from us. The UP Maroons, by the way were only around five feet away from us; we were sitting right behind them.

We could have asked for autographs if wanted to, but we didn’t have any pens with us.
We could have taken great pictures if we wanted to, but we didn’t have cameras, and did our old skool cellphones were also not equipped with the said technology.

My mom was texting me like crazy [knowing the HUGE Joseph Yeo and Mac Cardona fan that she is!]!!! She was like, “Please, get me an autograph of Joseph Yeo! Tell him it’s for your mom! Please! Tell hime to write ‘Dear Tita Neil,‘! Please please!”

And I was like, “Mom, I don’t have a pen with me!”
And she said, “Then borrow from someone there! PLease!”

To cut the long story short, I wasn’t able to get my zealous mom a sample of Joseph Yeo’s handwriting. Too bad. We were so near him. I swear, I could’ve even touched Cardona’s shaven head if I wanted to, only I didn’t.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to watching the DLSU vs. ADMU game on Tuesday. Take note, I’m only looking forward. I hope I could get to watch it… But Wednesday is a class day. Tsk. Screw school! Hahaha…

MY WEEK (In a NUTSHELL):
Last week could probably pass for the most activity-studded, so far. [Translate: Full of activities with no relevance to our daily lives.]

  • Monday. Regular classes. Nothing much. I love PE!!! We’re playing basketball. Our team is the Orange team and we have called ourselves Tang [with pun intended].
  • Tuesday. The last academic day for the week. All those meetings are stressing.
  • Wednesday. College Day Celebration. Went to school in Full CAT garb. We wre informed that we would resume CAT duty during the duration of the whole assembly, a practice, I believe, that is not included in our duties as CAT Officers. We are officers for cryin’ out loud! We’re not supposed to take posts! No dirty work! No, not that type of stuff! Those are limited to the MP a.k.a., Military Police a.k.a. L-CAP. True enough, we were not allowed to take our posts that day, thus leaving us no choice but to suffer the hellish conditions of our suffocating, un-chic CAT Uniform. I always ask myself what the hell made me want to become an officer in the first place.
  • Thursday. After the UAAP game, we went straight to Galleria to join the other IV-1 peeps and we watched The Notebook. I know. I never dreamt of watching that sappy lovestory, nor did I ever dream of reading the accursedly overrated book. But reality check: have you ever heard of peer pressure? OK, that’s what. To cut the blabbing short, I went home at 1:00 AM. Long story. Too dead tired.
  • Friday. Had to go to TinL‘s house for our “Music Jam Session”. No, actually we were supposed to compose our song for Music class. Our project is to compose our own Batch Graduation Song. The best part that I love about making music is when you reach the part when all your ideas just start pouring in, and the music starts flowing, and the song just starts to take shape… It’s a lovely feeling. I dunno, it’s just wonderful. =) So anyway, after finishing the song at Tin’s house, my parents picked me up ane we went to G4. Saw a movie, Terminal, and ’twas great! I think the best part about going out with your folks is… YOU NEVER HAVE TO SPEND A SINGLE PENNY. And that is so cool.
  • Saturday. Today. I had to attend this 4th Year Sub-Council meeting. We had a heated discussion about the Grad Ball. I had a headache after that.Anyway… that pretty much sums up everything. I have to stop. This is such a LOOOOONG post. I bet you have to go rest your eyes.

    Till next time, kids!
