Here i am
Hey there.
Remember me?
I’m the kid who left for the US last November 9.
I’m still here in Chicago, staying with my relatives.
I think I’m lucky enough to be able to see the transition between autumn and winter. When I arrived here, the many colored leaves put me in so much awe.. [too bad I can't post pictures yet.. this PC I'm using doesn't have an IR thing, and all I have is my camera phone..
].
We had snow here Tuesday evening. The whole day of Wednesday, it was snowing. But it was just dry, light snow. Come Thursday morning, all the snow melted… We’ve been going around town [yes folks, I'm in Winfield, IL, a small town of around 10,000].. We went to downtown Chicago.. I can say that I like the downtown city a LOT better. American towns are nice and okay, but sooner you’ll get tired seeing its crisp-and-clean goodness and “perfection”. I’m more of a “city” dweller, and man, was I glad when we went downtown [in Tagalog terms, lumuwas kami sa "bayan".. haha! pang-teleserye nga talaga eh..]…
I AM IN NEED OF INSPIRATION.
Bez, wala talaga eh. Sobrang BLANK ang utak ko ngayon.
Steph says I should write about the “Iraqi”. Well, alrighty then.
We [my Mom, Dad, Tito Sam & Tita Nancy] went to this International Thanksgiving Dinner thing at the Wheaton Bible Church [my tito and tita's church.. they're not Catholic.. they're Christian], and I met this white woman who was married to this Filipino man. Here was how our conversation went:
White Woman: Oh you should meet my son!
Me: Huh?
WW: You should meet my son! Here’s a photo. [brings out a pic of her son--ok, in fairness, gwapo--wearing a soldier's uniform]
Me: He’s a soldier?
WW: He’s in Iraq.
Me: *gasp*
My Mom: How old is he?
WW: He’s 19.
Mom&i: Ohhh…
Wala lang, sharing. And then the Filipino man–the white woman’s husband a.k.a. the guy’s dad–was like, pestering me if I dated anyone back in the Philippines. Ang kuliiit. So yeah. As I keep on saying, tawa na lang. Haha. Poor guy. 19 years old [or did he just turn 20?] and in Iraq. That’s a real pity. No wonder everyone here hates Bush.

We’re still waiting for Dad’s Social Security number. It usually takes around 10 days here. When he gets his SS#, we’ll buy a car, then Tito Ray would accompany us in a little roadtrip to NC. We leave for North Carolina after Thanksgiving, on November 26th. They might allow me to drive a bit since it would be a very long 15-hour drive. I’ve never driven a minivan before…Now how cool is that!

There are times when I’d like to throw a bio-bomb [a.k.a. Bluerinse] at UP Manila. *thinks of UPM friends and blockmates* OK, so maybe not. But still.
Damn UP Manila says they’ll be able to process my transcript of records and transfer papers after two whole friggin’ months. I mean, man! That’s crap! I didn’t know UP was such a crappy institution! [OK, so I do know it.] Mom says it’s really THAT slow in UP because Dad got his transcript in UP Diliman after one month. OK. UP Diliman=1 month. UP Manila=2 months. Schweeeet. Welcome to the Realm of Loserdom. Stupid government officials. I hope they’d all just rot in that stupid hell-hole of theirs.
So a problem remains….
Without my transfer papers, how could I enroll in any school?
I mean, c’mon..
Well another alternative would be that I’d just enroll in some online university [the one in Fayetteville, NC is good, I was told] then I’d just transfer in the real school when I get my papers. Another option is.. weelll… I’d just wait for September. But man, that’s such a waste of time! Such a waste! Tsk… I remember my blockmate Jet say that, “sana wala kang regrets. nakakasira ng ulo yung mga ganun e..” Yeah, I know. Wala naman eh.. badvibes lang talaga ang UP. *sigh*

I try to go online here as early as 5:00AM here [so it's around 7:00PM there in the Philippines] so that I can catch you guys online.. But well it seems to me that most of you are busy studying anyway [almost everyone's got a "Busy" icon on YM]…
It’s good though that my siblings make it a point to chat with me.. Thankfully, I was able to chat with a lot of you a while ago! I miss you guys.
