The Baddest Word You’ll Never Know.

But he died Happy :)

SYDNEY (AFP)–Iconic Aussie wildlife daredevil Steve Irwin has died as he loved living: seeking out the world’s most dangerous and exotic creatures in their own domain. [more]

Steve Irwin, Crocodile HunterHe was one of those people that you would never expect to die, mainly because being “The Crocodile Hunter” is his job, and because you just don’t think he actually would. I loved watching his TV shows: I remember when I was back in 7th grade, I was sitting behind a group of Australian delegates in this international conference, and I was getting a kick out of imitating doing a Steve Irwin impression for my seatmate. Them Aussie girls turned to look at me weird.

Steve Irwin died while filming off the Great Barrier Reef. During the shooting, a stingray’s barb went straight to his chest, and pierced a hole into his heart.

Such a poetic way to die. But he died happy.

Sometimes, I just think, what if I die later? Tomorrow? Next year? Would I be ready? And could I rightly say that I died HAPPY?

That’s just really something to think about. For now: Rest in Peace, Steve Irwin, Crocodile Hunter.

Life is precious. And life is full of surprises–and that’s another blog entry.
