About “D’Arvit!”
Overview
Do you read “Artemis Fowl” by Eoin Colfer? You don’t ? Haha. I thought so.
Anyway, “d’arvit” is a Gnommish swear word, too foul and offensive to translate in English… It’s an expression of extreme emotion.. an interjection of strong frustration… or an exclamation of unearthly bliss.

About the Blog
This blog began mostly due to peer pressure in February 2004 (although I have been taking advantage of Blogger’s remote publishing since September 2003). It was hosted on Blogspot at that time under my old Lord of the Rings pseudonym Quivenwë.
After my FF8 site closed down, I wanted to look for a new project to work on. I had originally wanted to create an Artemis Fowl fansite since early 2003 (hence my premature acquisition of darvit.tk), but as I got busier and busier, this plan never materialized. Seeing as the domain redirect would be put to waste, I decided to get my stuff hosted and this time, start a personal website. My blog was published remotely thanks to Blogger. It was not until May 2006 when I finally decided to give up on Blogger’s limited capacities and move over to Wordpress, thanks to Stonerocket’s blog contest (that never pushed through, as well! XD ).
As for this blog, as a whole: it is a personal blog. It started as a blog for friends and for myself; a place for me to vent out my feelings, communicate ideas, and serve as a self-therapy/self-assesment tool. Throughout the years, people from all over the world have bashed, complimented, enjoyed, and stumbled upon this blog–and I thank you all for that. 
Times have changed. Blogs have been über common these days, and most of the time, they fall under the MFA category. I will be stubborn and selfish and irrational: I refuse to go with the flow. This is my blog. This is what I am, and these are what I have written–and I don’t give a d’arvit’s ass about anything.
